Experience  

Courtney is a fundraising professional with 10+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector, specializing in large-scale development initiatives. Currently serving as the Vice President of Development at the YMCA of San Diego County, she leads a team of 13, overseeing the fundraising efforts for 14 branches, 3 overnight camps, and 3 social service departments. Under her leadership, the YMCA of San Diego has consistently exceeded its annual fundraising goals, raising over $8.4 million annually and securing multiple $100,000+ donations for annual and capital campaigns.  She successfully integrated fundraising software to streamline operations. The YMCA’s online giving platform raised over $2.1 million in its third year in online donations.

Courtney was the local VP of Education for the Association of Fundraising Professionals from 2019-2023. She went through NAYDO's Young Professional Program in 2012, and has volunteered with NAYDO in various capacities including Philanthropy Live! projects, the planning committee for the Host Y when NAYDO was in San Diego (2017), presenter at NAYDO conferences and academies, and has spent the past five years involved with the Young Professionals Program.
