Experience

• Elizabeth is relatively new to fund development but has had a variety of different professional experiences in the past 6 years. Currently, she is the Director of Development at the YMCA of Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. Working in this role since October 2022, Elizabeth is responsible for fund development, with oversight of marketing & communications and outreach initiatives.

  Previously, she worked for a hospital foundation, raising funds for programs for children with complex neuromuscular disabilities. Prior to that, she worked for 11 years with a provincial association that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, starting in program delivery and management, then moving to the wonderful world of fund development!

  After attending her first NAYDO conference in 2023 in Houston, Elizabeth became involved as a NAYDO volunteer, serving on the Staff New to YMCA Development Network committee and in various roles supporting the conferences including Annual Support Track Dean.

  Elizabeth and her husband have two children. She loves coaching her son’s soccer team and going on family vacations (especially when a beach is involved!)
